A New Standard In Cell Culture Incubation
Form Meets Function
At 6.6 litres, the Model 1 is the most compact and multifunctional CO2 incubator available. It's personal footprint means you can run your experiments anywhere you want. Compared to large traditional incubators, the Model 1's size allows it to regulate the conditions of your sensitive experiments with unparalleled precision.
Since the very beginning, we were passionate about bringing a device that was open to the world. Through it's arduino open firmware system, the Model 1 can be integrated into any experiment. It was built to be hacked. Check out our community to see how they've incorporated the Model 1, or check out our GitHub.
Superior Environmental Stabilization
Current Incubation systems display very misleading readings by averaging their measurements. This is done to present stability during the opening and closing of the incubator. In reality, when the door is opened, your chamber's CO2 concentration drops to below 0.1% in less than a few seconds. Any other reading is algorithmic fudging. Considering that the average incubator is opened over 50 times a day, your cells are never at their intended condition. Go ahead, go test it, like we did.
Only the Model 1 gives real time second-second monitoring feedback, providing you with the peace of mind that your cultures are at optimal growth conditions. Furthermore, personalized incubation means your experiments aren't touched or affected by others.
Thick Aluminum Shelving
Unlike traditional incubators that use 1/32" shelving, the Model 1 minimizes temperature fluctuations through it's 1/8" thick aluminum shelving. Even though entering your incubator may alter the internal temperature conditions, your cultures stay optimally heated.
Whether you're performing photo light therapy experiments or regulating the breeding cycles of your zebrafish, the Model 1 can light it all. Open access to the program means you can specify any light cycling or patterning your experiments may need. Have a questions about if it can work for you?
